Heart Disease

Heart disease affect many women around the world and is more common that we think.  According to the National Coalition for Women with Heart Diseases there are over 40 million women living with cardiovascular disease in America; 16% of those women have a history of heart attack.   It is very important to be able to recognize to what the symptom and signs for heart attacks.  Unlike men, women who are having a heart attack will have little or no chest pain.  For more information on the symptoms women experience when having a heart attack, check out: webmd.com.  Wear red for National Red Day starting February 1st and help educate others and support those with heart disease.

Sore breast and ovulation.

Know when you are fertile by checking your cervical mucus. The "finger test:.

If you are in tune with your body, it is easy to know when you are most fertile.   Determining when you are fertile tells us the best time to have intercourse when trying to conceive. You can figure out when you are about to ovulate by checking your cervical mucus.  Checking your cervical mucus throughout your cycle using the "finger test", will not only help you determine optimal timing for conception but it will help you be more in tune with your body.  Parenting.com is a great website on how to do the "finger test" correctly.  In addition to knowing how to check your cervical mucus, you should also know  the different changes our cervix goes through in one cervical changes menstrual cycle.

Are you ovulating?

Lets talk about "acne". Adult acne.

Ladies, I did not expect to be in my 30's with a face filled with acne  just like the girl in the picture.  A symptom of PCOS is cystic acne.    I have been using Proactive  facial and body cleanser for the past two weeks.  I have notice a reduction in the number of cyst on my face and back.  I would love to get back to where I didn't have to use foundation to cover my scars.
